Offender Managers from a Police Force in the South of England were recently tasked with undertaking an Offender visit to an individual with previous convictions for the possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).  Under the terms of their release the individual was restricted to a single laptop computer.  

However following interview it was disclosed that they were in possession of a mobile phone, which they claimed had been provided by an associate. 

Using Cyacomb Mobile Triage the officers were able to scan the device against a national Contraband Filter, and within a couple of minutes had detected CSAM present.  

The offender was clearly using this device to bypass the security and monitoring software on his approved laptop. The offender was arrested and is currently awaiting a court hearing.
