Cyacomb Forensics tools empower Law Enforcement on-scene, including non-technical users, to identify illegal material and make informed, confident decisions within minutes. Cyacomb Examiner Plus has continued to expand its capabilities in recent months, including an improved workflow and a redesigned user interface to save our users time, so they save more lives. These enhancements set the tool up for more exciting updates.

Our filename scan feature serves as a good quick initial search option, so by design, this scan type should be quick and concise. However, in practice, most keyword lists used by law enforcement contain words, phrases or letter combinations which lead to many irrelevant results. Receiving a large volume of results, many of which are irrelevant, can be confusing for users.

To address this, we have developed a unique prioritization feature called Smart Filename Scan which will rank filename scan results in order of priority, showing users the key evidence first which gives them the immediate clarity they need on-scene. This user selectable approach uses a combination of operational experience from our users and Cyacomb’s own research to provide heuristic weightings that simplify result interpretation.

We have also developed new reports to meet requests from users for briefer, less technical reports in some applications. As a result we have added a new option to generate a non-technical summary report, as well as the current full technical report and reports containing thumbnails.

Today we’re delighted to launch these exciting updates with our new 3.1 release.
